My Approach
Intentional, Gentle & Respectful
I believe an intentional, gentle discipline approach is essential, gearing expectations for children in step with their developmental capabilities. I am a trained Montessori assistant, I firmly believe in Montessori’s approach of observing and following the lead of the child. A surefire way to accelerate a child’s learning is to harness their own innate sense of curiosity for the world around them. I aim to make learning accessible, stimulating and fun for all children.
Active
Children learn through interacting with their environment, sensory play and active activities are a must. I like to explore with children and see the world from their level to have a better understanding of their point of view. I love the outdoors and enjoy sharing this appreciation for nature with my charges. I’m a strong swimmer and I have my motor boat license.
Creative
As a tutor I tailor my lessons to my students to make them interesting and accessible meeting the student where they are. I design creative activities for my charges to spark interest and imagination. From painting, tie dye, cupcake decorating or cardboard craft there is no creative avenue I won’t help children explore.
